Participants for Game Design & Development: Digital Game Prototype 2019 are to submit proof of concepts that are not full developed but close to execution. These concepts must be presented via:

  1. a Storyboard (optional),
  2. a Moodboard,
  3. a Game Design Documentation / Game Description (not less than 150 words),
  4. and a Video playthrough (5mins to 10mins minutes of ingame gameplay footage showcasing the game mechanic and feature)

Submission are to be shared via the Participant’s working gmail in which they wull share the folder to us. These include the participant’s name, game title, game engine used to develop. These details must reflect in the participants GDD (Game Design Documentation)

If you are entering more than one work, please submit each work separately.

For each submission, you will be requested to supply:

Images or a composition of images of your project. Image size: 818 pixels wide.


  1. Video clips we accpet AVI and MP4. 818 pixels wide. Maximum file size 10MB. If the entry submitted is a low-res version of your original work. Please note that high-resolution Image(s)/video will be requested if your work is shortlisted. Broadcasting of the shortlisted entries will require HD files, 1920 x 1080, non-compressed (mov, avi, etc.) performance submissions should include a storyboard, video, or other imagery to express the progression of the live event in which the designer is responsible for providing any digital assets.
    1. Sound files separate sound files may be submitted as .mp3 or .wav files. The designer must have all rights to any sound music upload. Provide URL link to download (Google Drive / WeTransfer).
  2. Explanation of ideas a brief description of your design or performance. (English text only, please be concise)
  3. Statement of acceptance of the competition guidelines: projects participating to competition, must be original works. Projects must be free from copyrights and any kind of obligation. The design shall not in any way infringe on any third party’s right, including but not limited to copyright, logos, trademark, trade names, or other proprietary rights of publicity or privacy.
    1. Only entries with a declaration of authorship are accepted. (When submitting your design you will be asked to tap on the Submit Your Creation button to agree for the competition terms and conditions).
  4. Deadline for submission of entries works can be submitted through 5th November 2019.
  5. Announcement of the results will be live during the event. The jury’s selection is final and is not debatable.
  6. Intellectual property rights any moral and paternity right regarding the project sent in for application is designer’s property. However, by submitting a design in the competition, the participant agrees to provide EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio with the right of exercising the option to use the rights for production on an exclusive basis and sine die (without time limitations), by participating in the competition, all participants authorise EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio to publish and exhibit all the designs (including project data submitted) – waiving compensation – at exhibitions and events and/or to use them in any publications communications or promotions that EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio may deem suitable and/or necessary. In any cases, each time the creation is used, they must refer to the competition they originate from. EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio will credit the designer’s name to properly attribute authorship of work to promote the author adequately. EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio will have the right to apply minor change amendments without damaging the integrity of the artwork – e.eg. add the EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio logo and text, reframing, translation, changing colors, cutting the background or parts of it, etc… in case EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio want to bring changes to the submitted artwork for publication, EAIM and Lionheart Game Design Studio will contact the artist / designer and inform him/her about the use to obtain his/her consent.
